Overview

What is Semi-permanent makeup?

Semi-permanent makeup places fine pigment in the upper layers of the skin to define the brows, lips or lash line. Shape and colour are designed around your face before anything is placed.

Techniques include fine hair strokes or soft shading for brows, a soft lip blush, and a subtle lash-line enhancement. Colour softens gradually over time.

Benefits

  • Fuller, shaped brows
  • Soft, natural lip colour
  • Defined lash line
  • Saves time every morning
  • Colour designed for your skin tone

How it works

  1. 01

    Design

Shape is mapped to your features and approved by you before we begin.

  2. 02

    Colour

Pigment is matched to your skin tone and hair colour.

  3. 03

    Application

Pigment is placed in fine strokes or soft shading, with numbing for comfort.

  4. 04

    Touch-up

    A follow-up after 4 – 6 weeks perfects the shape and colour.

Before and after

Before your visit

  • Avoid alcohol and caffeine on the day
  • Do not tint or wax the brows for a week
  • For lips, tell us if you get cold sores

Aftercare

  • Keep the area dry for a few days
  • Do not pick or scratch as it heals
  • Avoid sun, swimming and saunas for two weeks

Possible side effects

  • Swelling and redness for a few days
  • Colour looks darker at first, then softens
  • Rarely, infection or allergic reaction

Every risk is explained before you decide. Results vary from person to person.

Semi-permanent makeup: your questions

How long does it last?

Usually one to three years, depending on your skin and the technique. A colour refresh keeps it looking fresh.

Will it look natural?

Yes. We design the shape and colour with you, and keep it soft rather than heavy.
