Overview

What is Hair PRP?

Hair PRP places your own platelet-rich plasma across thinning areas of the scalp. The growth factors in the platelets support the hair follicles and help slow shedding.

It works best for early thinning and is done as a short course. We check your scalp, pattern of loss and history first, and look for other causes such as low iron or thyroid problems.

Benefits

  • Supports hair follicles
  • Helps slow shedding
  • Can improve thickness
  • Uses your own body
  • No downtime

Is it right for you?

Often a good fit for

  • Early thinning
  • Increased shedding
  • Support after a hair transplant

We may advise waiting, or another option, with

  • Blood or platelet disorders, or blood-thinning medicines that cannot be paused
  • Active infection or skin condition in the treatment area
  • Pregnancy or nursing
  • Active cancer or chemotherapy
  • Complete baldness in an area, where follicles are no longer active

Suitability is always confirmed in person, at your consultation.
