Overview
What is Hair transplant (FUE / FUT)?
A hair transplant moves healthy follicles from a dense donor area, usually the back of the head, to areas that are thinning or bald. The new hair grows naturally and keeps growing.
We offer FUE, where follicles are taken one by one, and FUT, where a strip is taken. A natural result depends on hairline design and donor planning, which we show you before any decision.
Benefits
- Permanent, natural hair growth
- Hairline designed for your face and age
- FUE and FUT options
- Long-term plan for ongoing loss
Is it right for you?
Often a good fit for
- A receding hairline
- Thinning at the crown
- Stable hair loss with a good donor area
- Eyebrow restoration
We may advise waiting, or another option, with
- Very early or rapidly changing hair loss
- A weak donor area
- Some medical conditions, which we check first
- Unrealistic expectations of density
Suitability is always confirmed in person, at your consultation.
How it works
01
Design
Your hairline is drawn and agreed with you.
02
Harvest
Under local anaesthetic, follicles are taken from the donor area.
03
Implant
Follicles are placed one by one at natural angles.
04
Aftercare
You go home the same day with a written aftercare plan.
Before and after
Before your visit
- Stop smoking and alcohol for at least a week
- Avoid blood-thinning medicines, if your doctor agrees
- Do not cut your hair short until we advise
Aftercare
- Sleep with your head raised for a few nights
- Follow the washing routine exactly as shown
- Avoid sun, sweating and heavy exercise for two weeks
- Expect the new hairs to shed at first. This is normal
Possible side effects
- Swelling and scabbing for 7 – 10 days
- Temporary numbness in the donor area
- Rarely, infection or poor growth
Every risk is explained before you decide. Results vary from person to person.
Hair transplant (FUE / FUT): your questions
Will a transplant look natural?
A natural result depends on hairline design and donor planning. We show you the proposed hairline before any decision.
When can I go back to work?
Most people return after 7 – 10 days, once the scabs have settled.
Is it permanent?
Transplanted hair is resistant to the usual pattern loss. Your other hair can still thin, which is why we plan for the long term.
